It's a Praise Day!

I loved Betsy's post yesterday about why we live our lives the way we do.  I wanted to focus especially on praising God, something I talk about so often yet do far too seldom. 

Let's take today to simply praise Him- not to ponder His word or apply Gospel truths to our lives- simply to praise.  In the words of Hillsong's awesome Desert Song,

All of my life in every season

You are still God

I have a reason to sing

I have a reason to worship

I will bring praise, I will bring praise

No weapon formed against me will remain

I will rejoice, I will declare

God is my victory, and He is here!

Let us praise Him today!

I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell all of your wonders.  -Psalm 9:1

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.  -Hebrews 13:15
