Today, I have to admit that I'm copying an idea that we have loved for years on Elizabeth's Long to Love blog. Each week, her "Friday Favorites" introduce me to new books, nail polishes, accessories, blogs, and Bible verses that I'm just dying to embrace. Thanks, Elizabeth, for the great idea!
There’s not too much happening on this crisp Friday morning
but I am counting down the hours until 3:45 pm, when I’m meeting up with Marshall
+ his roomies + a girlfriend (or two) to head to North Carolina for the
weekend! We have some TFA friends down there
who rent a lakehouse- YES, a LAKEHOUSE- who have been so kind as to invite us
(or at least not decline our request to crash at their awesome house) for a
weekend trip. I am so excited!
Lake Gaston, NC
As if a fun weekend beach trip hadn’t already put me in a
great mood, I stumbled upon Beth Moore’s blog
this morning--- not only does her conversational approach make me feel like I’m
sitting right across the coffee table from her, but reading her blogs brought
me back to a certain Bahamas spring break trip with best friends!
We spent our spring break (about 2 weeks before that pesky thesis was due, mind you) lounging on the beach, driving golf carts around, drinking goombay smash with T Rob, and perhaps most memorably, reading Beth Moore's bestseller So Long, Insecurity. If you haven't read it yet, I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Just in time for summer, these fabric hair ties are all the rage! Aren't they precious?

I first discovered these fabric hair ties a few months ago
when my best friend/fashionista Cally came to visit, and I was
reminded of how much I love them when sweet Eloise sported a pink patterned one on a quick trip to DC this
past weekend! I discovered them for only
$2 here in DC at Lou Lou, a
cute boutique. I wear one every day on my wrist just in case I need to put my hair up in a jiffy.
Libby and Annie before their 1/2 marathon
And last but not least, my dear friend and roommate Libby is embarking on the adventure of a life time... an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries. Libby's been an LR contributor in the past and I am just always blown away by her openness and profound wisdom. I am so PROUD of, HUMBLED by, GRATEFUL for, and BLESSED by sweet Libby, and have a strong feeling that her new blog will be at the very top of my reading list over the next year. Check her out HERE!
Enjoy this beautiful weekend, friends!
